Centre has not approved the project, says Bangarappa
“How can the project be implemented when there is no approval [for it] from the Centre and no survey has been taken up”? he said and added that compensation had not been fixed for the land to be acquired for the project.The List of Projects on the official website of Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka does not mention this project!!
ನಾನಿನ್ನೂ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಲೆಹಾಕುವ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗೆ ಕೊಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿದ್ದರೆ ಓದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿದ್ದರೆ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ.

P.S: ನಾನು ಕೂಡ ಸೊರಬ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನವನೆ. ಮುಳುಗಲಿರುವ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು ನಮ್ಮೂರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಹತ್ತಿರವೋ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ನನ್ನ ಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಹತ್ತಿರ.

ಈ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೂತ್ರೆ ಮುಗಿದ ಹಾಗೇನೇ ಕಥೆ!
ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ಯಾರ್ಯಾರ ಮನೆ ಮುಳುಗೊತ್ತೆ, ಯಾರ್ಯಾರ ಎಷ್ಟೆಷ್ಟು ತೋಟ ಮುಳುಗೊತ್ತೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ನಿಖರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೇ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಅಂತ ತಯಾರಾಗಿದಾರೆ. ಕೆರೆಕೋಡಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಹರಿಯೋ ದಂಡಾವತಿಗೆ ಆಣೆಕಟ್ಟು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ರೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಇದೆ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನಂಬೋದೇ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗ್ತಿದೆ.
ಕಳವಾಗುತ್ತೆ.. ಅಕ್ಕಪಕ್ಕದ ಊರುಗಳು ಮುಳುಗೋದನ್ನು ನೋಡೋಕೆ..

ನಾನೂ ಇಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕೇಲಿ ಓದಿದೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ. ನಿಸರಾಣಿಯ ನನ್ನ ಗೆಳೆಯನೊಬ್ಬ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ ದಂಡಾವತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ. ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಫೋನ್ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲ ಆ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಇಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಓದಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಬೇಸರವಾಯಿತು. ನಾನು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಆ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸವೆಸಿದ ಹಾದಿ ನೆನಪಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಊರುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಮುಳುಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಅರಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೇಗಾದರು ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಕು. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪನವರು ಶಂಕು ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ರೈತ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ವಿಷಾದನೀಯ. ಬಂಗಾರಪ್ಪನವರು ಇದರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ತೋರದೆ ಇದ್ದುದ್ದು ನೋಡಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನಾನು ಸೊರಬದಲ್ಲಿ ೩ ವರ್ಷ ಡಿಪ್ಲೋಮಾ ಓದುವಾಗ ದಂಡಾವತಿ ಒಂದು ನದಿ ಅಂತಾನೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ .
ಹಾಗೆಯೆ ನೀರು ಹೇಳುವುದು ಜೀವಸೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಮೂಲವೇ ಹೊರತು ರಾಜಕೀಯದ ಮೇಲಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಚದುರಂಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು ದುರಂತ..,ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನಿಜವಾದ ಉಪಯೋಗ ಅನುಪಯೊಗಗಳು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕಿತ್ತು.

Interesting post - though you say that you are in the process of collating information to make uo your view on Dandavathi project, there seems to be a slight slant towards pro dandavathi project.
Though not from Soraba, having visited there mant a times in summer adn in rainy season, it is ludicurious to have a irrigation project over a small river or pond which gets flooded in extereme rainy season and remains dry the rest of the time.
Also i disagree with one of the post which says that bangarappa has not lent his voice to the fight against the project which is aimed at appeasing one section of the society. Being a lingayat myself i am ashamed by the antics of our Hon. Chief Minister of appeasing one community over the other. Clearly he has not understood sarva dharma samabhava that BJP likes to use with their own skewed defition.
I will be eager to read your post of Dandavathi project.
Also please note Bangarappa has fought for the cause of Soraba people all through his political life and has been with the people of Soraba and treated them as his extended family.
I would urge you to correct and ammend some of the comments. As given this is the election year, it would be helpful if you and your friends in Soraba could help Bangarappa win one last time and bow out of politics on a winning note.
